I saw this on Face book.....I hope we hear the story someday.

This beautiful 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham was recently found in an underground garage in NYC. She hasn't seen light since the 1970s ㋡

Some really cool cars are still out there waiting to be found.

I cringe a little bit about that tow strap so close to that lower bumper bar....those crack real easy....

I saw that as well. Amazing where some of these finds can turn up.

According to the comments on the FB post, the owner of the parking garage stored his collection of cars there of which the Eldo Brougham was one. Supposedly it hadn't been outside since the 1970s. No information on what precipitated the car's removal.

Interesting,  a right hand mirror is on the car.

I lived in NYC for 10 years.
When I parked my 94 Seville in a garage I noticed a lot of cars under an inch of black dust. It's amazing what people store and forget about. A guy told me once they stop paying they have either passed away or ran off out of town. Some cars had been there for 60 years. Its the barn find equivalent with rats.

The black dust is most likely diesel engine soot which may well have acted as a preservative. It would be nice to learn what became of the car.
