You might give a call to CrankEnHope publishers
(724) 459-8853 in Blairsville PA. I got my MPL
sixht edition copy from them and are VERY pleased  with it.

Dear Bill,

Remember when you are about to purchase a Master Parts Manual

it is better to select one a few years Newer than the model you are working on.
For a 39 LaSalle try to find a 42 or
even a 46 parts manual as this will show part interchanges on
parts for the newer cars that still fit yours.

If you Get a 39 Parts manual how will you know what 1940
or 41 mechanical parts are the same as yours ?

Ideally a 41 or 42 would be best, as this would still have
a lot of illustrations of the 39 Assemblies.

As you get into the later 40s or even early 50s
it may still have parts listings for 1939 models
but fewer and fewer illustrations of your 39 LaSalle.

Also I believe PREWAR part manuals were divided into
CHASSIS Master Parts manuals (which include fenders
hoods and grilles only)  (I have a 42 Chassis)

But Cowl Back Body Parts and Interior parts
were shown in a seperate BODY Parts Manual

These are very RARE I have only ever seen one..
....and missed it on E-Bay :-(  !

All the POSTWAR Cadillac Master Parts Manuals I have
include all parts and acessories as well as paint and
trim codes body and engine numbers etc.

Good Luck with your Lasalle,

When and if you find the list be sure to give us all relevant info about where we may get our own!
