I have a 1976 Eldo. The drivers door hinge has a second pin with a bearing that presses the door scallop. Is the second pin and bearing rebuildable?

If this is the detent you are referring to, generally they are not rebuildable. The hinge will have to be replaced.

But, door hinges for many GM cars were the same. Chances are you could find one off a C-body car and it will bolt right on. For example, I replaced the lt frt lower hings on my 86 Fleetwood with one from a 1988 Caprice.
