I am trying to get my passenger door open when i bought the car the outside door latch is pushed down how can i get the door open and fix this problem please help me ???

I had a problem like that. The door wouldn't unlock, because the outside handle wouldn't fully release (rust). I unbolted the handle from the inside, and then was able to unlock. Bruce Roe CLC # 14630
