I wonder if GM will survive its own inaction.

For a number of years, I think GM was very short-sighted and went for the quick short-term buck.  While competitors like Lexus, to name one, continuously pushed, year-in and year-out, to hone, develop and refine its products, what was happening at GM?  Well, for one thing, they badge-engineered the GMC Yukon and called it a Cadillac.  They made earth-shattering news when they renamed the Cavalier.

Now the chickens are coming home to roost.

But Im sure those who made the decisions got their promotions and bonuses.

Was there really ever any doubt that GM WOULDNT build the V-16?

Isnt it amazing how, even if a company goes bankrupt, the VPs and Board members ALWAYS get a huge bonus.  They may lay off thousands, drop all pointless expenses like health insurance and retirement benefits for those valueless employees they do keep, but by god the top boys always get that cut of the pie!!!  THey deserve it for the good work and selfless service they provided driving the company into Chapter 11.  :)

It wouldnt do to punish management for what is clearly everyone elses mistakes and greed.
