Offered is a complete 1977 (one year only rear plugs) factory CB setup. Includes the head unit, transceiver, microphone, and antenna splitter.

The switch to toggle between CB and Radio is somewhat finicky and will need some attention. I removed this to switch to an 8 track.

I do not have the antenna.

Just for educational purposes why is this for a 1977 only. The radio looks identical to my 1978 radio?  Is the harness different?

Correct. New wiring harness was used starting 1978.

A 1977 radio could be made to work in a later model with some splicing/rewiring and visa versa.

I do have a set of pigtails but I was hoping to keep those as spare parts just in case.

One interesting thing to note is that on carbureted cars, the transceiver is mounted behind the glove box liner in the ECU bracket. On EFI cars, the transceiver was mounted behind the drivers side kick panel, so technically, this is correct only for 1977 deVille and Fleetwood carbureted cars only. The umbilical from the transceiver to the head unit wouldn't be long enough to reach on an EFI car.

Good to know since it looks like a plug and play scenario and it's not!
