It's a LaSalle and might be of interest...…..  I have no affiliation with the car.  Happy hunting!

That's correct!!
The 40 LaSalle front end is much prettier than the Cadillac.

2015 Holden Ute HSV Maloo red/black interior.

Too much fun is more than you can have.

Thanks bob! i myself  prefer the Cadillac frontend over the LaSalle. I dont know something  about that slim grill not working for me.

Here is more than you wanted to know:
The 1940 Cadillac series 62 and the 1940 Lasalle series 52 are identical except for front end styling. The exception to this is a 5 hp difference in  engines which is caused by 24 additional cubic inches in displacement and a different carburetor in the Cadillac. Different compression ratios. The Cadillac has a different flywheel and clutch. Those are the only differences.
The 40-50 series Lasalle and the 40-52 series Lasalle are identical mechanically but have different bodies. No sheet metal is interchangeable.
The 40-60S and the 40-72 each has a unique body and a unique chassis. The 40-75 and 40-90 share bodies and mechanics but not engines. The 75 has the V8 and the 90 has the V16.
All 40 Cadillac V8s have 346 cid but not the same HP. 62 and 60S have 135 HP and the 72 and 75 have 140 HP. The difference is in the compression ratio of the heads.

They made the 40 LaSallle grille skinny so it would look cool when installed in a 1935-36 Ford shell, preferably a 3-Window Coupe.
