Nice car, just the price! The red interior looks like new.

When it comes to prices, asking isn't getting. There's a small-time dealer on the AACA forum who asks astronomical prices for admittedly nice cars. No idea how long he has to wait to sell one as he doesn't announce sales, but some of the ads are refreshed for months/years. If you've got the storage room and don't need the cash for that next old car, why not put up a silly number and see if someone bites?
The car in question had the motor replaced due to a bad radiator hose??? More likely the previous owner ran it without any coolant and fried it. If that's the case, it makes me wonder what other damage could've been done through neglect. Cosmetics are great, though.

Considering that a white '65 Calais Sedan with 4.500 miles did just for a tick under $30K at Auburn, the asking may not be all that far out of line. This is a Coupe deVille, white on red leather with more equipment I would think more than compensates for mileage difference.

If the engine was GM factory crate replacement, I don't see much of a penalty there if any, much less tires.

Probably worth $30K to the right buyer if it's all it appears to be.

My point about the tires was more regarding the owner’s mindset.

Sometimes, things other than money indicate how the prospective vehicle was ‘managed’...putting a 60’s vintage Cadillac out there for top dollar and having Hankook tires are an inconsistency.

Sorta reminds me of the guy who put the ladders on cinderblocks as a gantry for an engine removal. Sure it may be shaped Like a gantry, and may even do the job, but it indicates a mindset that is ‘unfavorable’ to the technical aspects of the project.

I had Hankook tires on my '71 Eldo, and I liked them. Looked OK, rode good, and the bargain price didn't hurt. I've had Hankooks on my daily drivers, and they're good tires. Tough to find a 235/15 tire in a skinny whitewall without paying a bundle nowadays.

Look at the Toyo tires. They offer a 3/4" or so WW that would be just what you like.
