I I have a 1935? V12 limo 7 pass w/rear quarter windows. With chassis number 41-450. The engine is out of the car (not sure if it's the original). The body tag is missing. Can the car be identified by the chassis number? Thanks

No. What are the #;s on the motor you have??

Your problem is understandable. The engine number fits clearly as a Model 370D (1934-35 V-12 model). Range 4100001-41001098. That doesn't solve the problem. The Maurice Hendry book Cadillac The complete History ,says 1934 v-12 production was 683 and 1935 was 377,total  1060. Missing 38 cars? the chassis # would be within the 683 for 1934. The engine # within the 1935 total.
If it were My car,I would get the Heritage info on the car.  The date of manufacture may help.

First, Warren, WELCOME back to the forum!!
Lets talk about the  gentleman's  problem. I've never seen a motor to chassis number spread that large. However, most of my research has been 30 to 33.
He only has one choice!! Send $50 to Heritage with his motor # and. see what happens.

In my earlier post I gave the motor number range. Now From a NADA book Mar1943 they give better numbers.
    !934  4100001-4100662
    1935  4100701-4101098
     total 1060 motors
So the motor is from 1935.
What do the bumpers look like?  1934 used a bumper with heavy bars top and bottom, like Biplane wings.1935  used a solid bar like most bumpers. Even if it is the 1935 type, a lot of 1934's were refitted with 1935 type.

Thanks for the information. The dash looks like it's a 1935. It has the intercom front and rear, division window with the jump seats. Dual side mounts and rolled edge wheels. Body is dark blue. Also rear quarter windows. Any guesses on what the body style would be? Thanks again.

Warren Rauch #4286

The body style should be on a tag on the cowl. Since it is missing......
It is probably either 5775 with a flat ,one piece windshield or 6075 with a v two piece windshield. These two styles are for Imperial(divider window) with jump seats and rear quarter windows. They were available with v-8,v-12 or v-16 engines.

Don't you think that a picture or two would help?

I got the two types reversed. 5775 is Vee,6075 is flat.  My note was right,my key punching wrong. Check most any Cadillac Parts book of the period. In the front they spell out each body type. By 1943 ,with gas rationing, no one wanted them. Only $ 140-150 was what a dealer would offer for them.
