heater hose hook up on my 1938 cadillac 60 coupe

when i got the car the hoses to the heater core were missing. does one hose go to the top plug of the water pump. there is a plug at the top of the water pump. and one at the rear of the right head. also witch hose goes to the top heater core inlet or outlet?

The top outlet is for later models. The heater should be connected to the bottom of the water pump at the hose, should be a tapped hole for this. Then on passenger side at the rear should be a tapped hole for the other fitting for the heater. Not sure it makes any difference which one goes to what on the heater, since it is in and out. But one of the fitting should have a fitting to turn off the water flow in the summer.
