I need an oil filter  Canister for Fleetwood. It has A C and filter appears to have been on the drivers side due to A C compressor on passengers side.

Also would appreciate a picture of the tubing to the canister. Mine is missing and I am not sure how to install the tubing??

As far as I know they were always on the driver side and are not AC specific.  I've got one for $50

57 on passengers side except with A C. My 1957 Fleetwood is rare as it has factory air and remains of AC on drivers side. I would love to buy yours if the bracket and connections are the same as mine is set up for. Would appreciate a picture or two to  garygriffin@Q.com

Gary,
I checked my 58 master parts book and it just lists one part number for the 57 cannister.  If cadillacnut can't help you on the part let me know. Same price plus shipping, but he has first option. This part has been mrdia blasted and primed. It does have the T hat spacer that goes inside the cannister. Thanx Frank

Gary,

Frank's comment sent me to the MPL. There is only one '57 part number listed for the canister shown in the pics above. It makes manufacturing sense that the canister was the same- i and io AC - but the mount hardware was different.  For '57 cars with AC there are three unique support pieces: brace, bracket and spacer. You can see one of the parts in the picture below, but the spacer and lower support are not visible. The flat twisted bar that partially obscures the valve cover attaches to the upper portion of the mount built onto the canister.
The oil line that attaches to the top of the canister is visible running from the top of the engine. Part of he lower line is visible exiting the canister running forward then down toward the front of the engine. The connecting point is not visible.

Thanks Ralph, that is what I need. I can fake it with a hand made bracket if necessary.

Thanks.  Frank's looks a little different than the one I have.  Is 57 and 58 the same or different?

The oil filter assembly don't have the same part number for 1957 and 1958.

1958 cannister on the left. 1957 on the right. I don't have a 1956 to compare. I believe I sold it to Roger a couple of years ago. You can see the difference in the brackets.

Could be that you sold me one, I don't remember! For 1954 to 1956, the bracket is also different; this is the same part number for those 3 years.
