Youll find this one in the Dream Cars section of the Cadillac Database:

Its a conversion of a 42 sedan  to a pick-up truck. I have it from Daniel [aka "Zoot"] Dimov, a friend and automotive writer for Frances Nitro magazine, that the car was found in Florida, in the auto classifieds; included with a lot of  more recent Cadillac limousines were TWO of these 1942 pickup truck conversions on Cadillac chassis. The buyer, a biker friend of Zoots went to view the cars on a used car lot bordering the Everglades. An Arab gentleman bought the first one; Zoots friend got the second. Both were converted from sedans, during in the forties, at the request of a Las Vegas casino; they were used as baggage trucks for the casinos VIP guests who, in turn got hauled around in the regular limos. The French biker-buyer also is an automotive writer and has featured this car in one of his articles. Youll note it has French license tags from the Toulouse area; these may have been replaced now with Spanish tags.

Very interesting, Id love to have one of these, Always was kinda sweet on a Cadillac truck, must be a product of my woodchuck heritage. Biggest thing I dont like about Yanns data base? I get looking at pictures and before I realize it, Ive blown 2 or 3 hours! LoL Keep up the great work Yann!
