My U-Joints have been well cared for over the years and are in great shape BUT due to the fact that there is no grease nipple the bolt retainers have become useless twisted metal. I really don't want to have to buy all new u-joints to replace these that are still perfect. For now I have put lockwashers on them to keep the balance on the drive shaft. Does anyone know where I can buy just the retainers? I need new retainers for both joints, so 8 in total. I have to wonder if there is another u-joint that has retainers that would be the same.

Corvette Central has some locks that might work or could be made to work.  See:  http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~dyndetail~Z5Z5Z50000050g~Z5Z5Z513697~P11.95~~~~S44Y0PW3VP18418122350W~Z5Z5Z5YES~Z5Z5Z50000050~~~.  You will need to measure center-to-center bolt hole distance.  You could also try Fort Wayne Clutch & Driveline.  See:  http://www.fortwayneclutch.com/.  You could also probably use all-metal locknuts.
