They weren't stainless but anodized aluminum.  They WERE still available from Cadillac around 8 years ago.  I was told recently that they are gone and out of production.  Part # 148301.

These come up on ebay all the time. I've seen NOS pieces for good prices. Without the tacked on V, crest or other 'trinkets' added by some. HTH, Jeff
