Bump.  Rebuilder will only take a Delco core back.  (1958)  Would like to keep my core.  Still looking for '58 power brake core. 585 739 2917

Refresh how to tell.   It's been awhile.
Mine has the slanted cap.
Car was converted so no need.

TonyZappone #2624

Slanted cap is Delco.  How much, what is condition, appearance, etc?

I'm in for the night.   i'll take some pix tomorrow.   I guess it's worth the core charge?

TonyZappone #2624

What do you mean worth the core charge?  Whose core charge?  I want to be able to keep the one that's always been on my car.  Therefore I am seeking another not rusty, clean looking core to submit to the rebuilder.

Sent message.
Couldn't attach pix there.
Usually that's the value the rebuilder places on item, if they don't get a core.   ie, cost to replace.   You can keep yours and send this one in.   I don't need it.

Don't really "need" anything, just trying to take the sting out of the price.
If not, I'll post for sale and see what the going rate is, but appears to be getting scarcer and price has moved up.   Most rebuilders are showing out of stock.
Any rear bumper ends?   (So I could send out and get chromed, and not have to run without or change twice.)   Any coupe sheet metal is a prize for later but complicated to ship.
ps: ask your rebuilder what he thinks he'd get for a core charge these days, if he accepted them and why he won't.

TonyZappone #2624

Sorry, I have none of the things that you would like.  I will speak to the rebuilder next time I talk to him, and see what he would pay
