I NEED HELP FINDING THE VIN NUMBERs-l1600 (1).jpgs-l1600 (17).jpg   ON A 1961 CADILLAC.....THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

CadillacFanBob

I found this online on the AACA forum, BUT it is for a 1959 & 1960, MAYBE same location for 1961?

1959-1960 Cadillacs have a plastic laminated tag riveted to the doorjam at the bottom of the driver's side door with the serial on it. Per the Motors Manual, the engine number is the serial number, located on the right (passenger) side of the block below the head. Per my Krause book it's also stamped on "the top left-hand frame support next to the radiator support" ...

They take the form 60F100001 - 60 is the model year, the letter is a code for the body style/model, and the remainder is the sequential production number.

I hope this helps

Yes, the # is in the same locations on a '61. The number on the frame can be hidden under grime and grease; a cleaner and bright light will make it easier to find.
