Title: stereo or not
Post by: Tony clc#24130 on February 19, 2008, 07:39:44 PM
Hi, Heres the situation, I have a radio for my 70 deville conv. the #s are o5cmwk1 I asked a few weeks ago if it was a 70 unit, as it turns out  it is. The member that responded (carfreak) sent me a link to a series of pages that show this model# and sure enough it says its a mono unit. But on the face of the unit it says stereo and inside on the dial it says stereo? is it some kind of simulated stereo? The whole reason why I ask this stuff is because when trying to order new front speakers from USA PARTS they ask ,stereo or not with different numbers for each. I just want to get the right speakers so it will run the three of them as intended. The radio works but could use some attention, is there a person that works on these radios that doesn't gut them and update them ? I would like to keep it original if possible. Thanks!   Tony

OK, so if it is a stereo radio should it have 2 rear speakers? This one just  has the center one.  OH before I forget (carfreak) is someone from the forum that answered an earlier question!
