What it looks like that plastic rubber thing you end up destroying when you have to change the tail lights on a 74- eldo? Maybe the feet are just to give you scale since he did not have a tape measure? There is a website somewhere that has a bunch like that. There was one where the guy was not wearing any bottoms and you could see his reflection in the glass...
