Title: ELDORADO letters
Post by: djohnson on September 23, 2009, 07:12:21 PM
Hey Caddy Fans

I have a 1970 Eldorado and the letters are at the bottom of the fender
(as opposed to the 67-69 letters which are in the middle of the fender)
I know I am knit picking but can the 67-69 letters fit the 1970 as the
angle of the fender at the lower point of the car is different than the
angle at the mid  section.   Need a set of letters but just don't know if
the  67-69 will give a tight snug fit on the 1970

please share your thoughts

I would have to look it up to be sure, but I would be surprised if it would work. In 1964, they used a set on the trunk and a set on the lower front fender that look the same on their face. The back edge is parallel to the face for the trunk set and at an angle for the front fender set,  so they face out and not down.  I looked up your set. Your 1970 set  is the same group of part numbers as 63-67 , but not 68-69. Warren
