Title: '65 & '67 Accessory - Data Books
Post by: Ralph Messina CLC 4937 on February 13, 2010, 02:15:31 PM
I’m hoping someone with 1965 and 1967 Data Books will help with accessory authenticity questions. The information I need is in the Color & Equipment sections.

1.   In ’65, were the groups of accessories numbered 1 through 6?
2.   In ’67, were the groups of accessories numbered 1 through 6, or 1 through 4 and 8 & 9?

Thanks,
Ralph

From Cadillacs of the Sixties, I see Accessory Groups 1 - 5, as well as individual listings. No Accessory Group 6, or above.

For 1967, it lists Basic Groups 1, 2, 3, & 4, and then Equipments Groups 8 & 9, as well as individual codes.
Do you need to know anything specific about a certain group?

HTH,

Jim

I checked the 65 Data/ Optional spec Books . There is no mention of a group 6. There were option codes 8(one license frame) and 9 (two license frames).
For 1967 its all in one book, groups 1,2&3 were all the same except for the radio. Group 4 was for series 75. No groups 5,6 or 7. Groups 8 & 9  only differed in that group 9 includes the guidematic.
Remember these groups were for ordering purposes only. Warren
