Title: check this out

Here's a picture of my radiator cowling on my 1940 modle 9033 .
It looks like this will be visable when you open the hood. I'm sure it's original ant thoughts as I am getting ready to paint it and wanted to know if I should paint the stencil back. It's spray painted white

Ken:
This stencil question keeps popping up. Some cars had it and some didn't. I'm sure there was a reason, but I don't know of any. If someone has a good guess  let me know.  This is like the firewall on the '38-'40  90 series cars, most were black, but some were painted body color. At one time Brad Ipsen, Doug Houston and I were trying to figure it out and after analyzing open and closed cars, body styles, storage of bodies before assembly etc., etc. we could never come up with a good answer.

I would keep the stencils as they are original to that car.
