The 2013 Cadillac ATS Sedan was revealed today at the North American International Auto Show at Cobo Hall in Detroit and pictures can be seen at this link (and a GREAT video showing the car):

This ATS Sedan will go on-sale a few months after the larger XTS Sedan is offered (due at dealers this Spring). Therefore, the 2013 Cadillac line-up will include the XTS Sedan (replacing both the STS and DTS models), the CTS Sedan, CTS Coupe and CTS Wagon, the SRX (crossover wagon) and the Escalade (short "Escalade" and long wheelbase "Escalade ESV" and pick-up "Escalade EXT"). Around six months after the ATS Sedan, an ATS Coupe and Convertible are expected, too. The XTS-4, CTS-4 and ATS-4 will be the available "all wheel drive" versions of those models. The plans are for the next generation of the CTS model to grow slightly in size, due around 2014 model year as a 2015 model. There is also a larger Sedan in development that will be most appealing to the Cadillac-LaSalle Club members, and it will be a "flagship" rear-wheel-drive sedan (rumors are that the Fleetwood name--"FTS"-- is being saved for that model!) The full-sized sedan will be the one the most closely like the traditional Cadillacs. There is also a hybrid electric model underway, based upon the Converj concept Coupe--with underpinnings based upon the Chevrolet Volt.

Although we love our older, large Cadillacs, it is great to see the brand offer models that are really competitive with the segments of the market dominated by the imports. It is also clear, upon reading the press releases, that these new Cadillacs are packed with the latest world-class infotainment and safety features. The smaller vehicles and powerplants are also required for compliance with the federal Corporate Average Fuel Economy laws.

Just thought some of you may like an update on the latest developments at our favorite marque!

I like that car. The idea of a turbodiesel is very appealing, as is the turbocharged four, especially in a RWD platform that can weigh less than 3400 lbs. If they make it in the US, I will want one, especially if its available as a wagon, turbodiesel with a 6sp manual. Even with present powertrain choices, I think its a great car for Cadillac to start building better sales numbers with.
