Title: convertible top instructions
Post by: Mike Simmons 938 on April 25, 2012, 03:34:46 PM
Judging by eBay, a new crop of top operating instructions (reproductions),  supposedly for all 1955 Fisher body  convertibles, is being offered by dealers under all the GM car headings, including Cadillac. So far as I can tell, this repro (available for decades I believe), may only apply to Chevrolet, since it illustrates two locking handles for the top to windshield header. 1954 and 55 Olds use a single locking handle, as does Cadillac ( according to my parts book)I don't have any parts books for Pontiac or Buick, but I would guess two handles might only apply to the A bodies. Anyway, don't buy the one with the purple cover (55 A-50M on back cover). It's not for Caddy folks.
