Does anyone know if the area I've circled in the picture (area behind the rear seat) is painted the color of the car or is it left primer color? Or perhaps it just gets an over-spray? I believe it all gets covered by carpet, but it was painted when I pull off the old carpet so not sure what to do...

They were painted body color but you'll never see it with the trunk lining. The only visible areas would be the upper sides, the hinges and torque rods. May as well paint it all.
