For starters, check the VIN: "60G......"

Eric,
Appears to be meticulous work. Why not say it's a 62 Series dressed up as a CDV?.........Leaves one to wonder what else is not as it seems.
Ralph
Says it's got a clear Indiana title, yet the car has Florida plates and is currently being sold out of New York....?
My thoughts exactly Ralph.
Hello Eric
Very meticulous vehicle completed with a high dollar budget but there are flags:
(1) Title
(2) Passenger side mirror
(3) Two inch white wall
(4) Where is the picture of the body plate?
(5) Asking Seville dollars
(6) Rims
I sold a buddy of mine a black one owner 105% original 6300 mile 60 coupe deville
best on the planet? sure only if you have seen them all!

Agreed.
I also noticed the car is sitting too high and the wear on steering wheel, shift lever, and pedals doesn't match the areas that have been restored. Coupe deVille scripts appear crooked as well.
As Ralph said, the appearance of meticulous restoration that has a lot of questions - on the basis of the incorrect interior alone, if nothing else.
A terrific looking car in all fairness - but best on the planet? He must be joking.
I know or a 59 series 62 convert with four thousand one hundred miles 105% original and I still can not swear it is "best on planet"
no claim irks me more, and it is almost always made by some jerk off dealer
Best on planet (of the Apes).
This car sold at the Auctions America Fall auction for $47,300 as a Series 62 Coupe.

Please don't confuse us with the facts.
and didn't Barnum say there's a sucker born every minute. Dood is looking for one.................
Come on, its feebay, what do you expect??? :P
Someone should write him about the car's tri-state lineage.
He's a dealer!! Its just the sort of crap they come out with. We have his type in this country too.
It does sit way high in the back, the engine is painted the wrong color, and I don't see the power locks it supposedly has. Also it is advertised as "certified pre-owned." I didn't know Cadillac had a certified used program for 55 year old cars! On the other hand, the paint looks pretty nice and the grille is beautiful.
Wow. Where to begin with this car? Authenticity issues galore, possible titling issues. If that's the best on the planet, then all other 1960's, including this one, should just be pushed off a cliff. Period.
Gentleman, I really enjoyed the thread and your comments. As I have said before, I am not a '59-'60 guy, but even a '41 buff can pick out the many mistakes this person fluffs over.
That wouldn't be my biggest concern. He bought it 2 months ago for 22 grand less than what he's currently asking also knowing it is a series 62 coupe. I hope nobody buys this thinking they'll get the worlds best 60 Coupe DeVille!
I mentioned it to him that what he has is a dressed up coupe. From the auction report I can now see he was fully aware of that! He thanked me for telling him but has not changed his ad so he fully intends to dupe some unsuspecting buyer. Is there no law of misrepresentation in the US?
Maybe someone with the VIN info handy should "ask seller a question" about the VIN so there's some reference to the issue for unsuspecting buyers.
That sadly does not have to be put on his ad David. Questions are at the discretion of the seller.
I think "caveat emptor" would probably apply in this case.
At any rate, I doubt there will be much cause for concern at the coin sought.

Use the ebay report this item link to report it as a fake.
It won't sell at that price anyway, and If a buyer doesn't like it, cars are one item on ebay where bids are NOT binding contracts to purchase.
It has knock off wires! :(
It sold for $69,500.00.
Who's laughing now?
Are you sure it sold for that much?
The listing says it has been taken off the market.
Bruce. >:D
Agreed.
Actual sale price is unknown - assuming it had been sold.
Appears as if it has been relisted.
I just noticed the rubber holders for the spark plug wires are missing from the valve covers.
The exterior paint looks great though. I can't imagine how insane you'd go keeping the dirt and dust off a black car.

Ralph
Apparently the 60 sold and now he's at it again with a 67 Eldorado. How every Cadillac he's selling is "the world's best" is beyond me!

I smell something with this guy and it's not Cadillac exhaust.
