how can I adjust stromburg to get more air ? its runs good but seems to be to rich. but when I turn in 2 idle screws it acts like might shut off. alsowhat hole on accelerator pump rod does it go top or bottom to give leaner mixture thanks john

Adjusting the idle mixture screws only affects the idle mixture.  Turning the screws in leans it out.  Most carburetor accelerator pumps use the upmost hole for the least amount of enrichment.  If your car is running rich (not at idle or heavy acceleration) then neither adjustment would have any effect.  Try spraying some carburetor cleaner down the carb throat to clean any gum/varnish that may be present.  Otherwise, leave well enough alone.
