Title: 1967 DeVille conv. A/C hoses etc.
Post by: lou-q on August 06, 2015, 04:53:55 PM
Does anyone know where I can get some correct A/C hoses and other A/C parts for our 67?
I would like to change the condenser since it doesn't look very good.
Also is there anyone that can rebuild the compressor?
All this will make the engine compartment look a lot better.
Thanks,
Lou

Hi Lou -

Rebuilt (or, even new) A6 compressors are readily available at most any parts store, and most any hydraulic hose store can make up hoses for your car.  All of the mechanical parts for your system should be available - for some things, you might have to talk to some of the classic A/C companies, but it should not be a big issue.   This all assumes that the control system is still in good shape - I am not familiar with the 1967 Climate control system, but there are members that can help out (CadillacTim comes to mind).

Let us know if you have specific questions and I am sure we can assist.

When you say 'correct' you mean correct for R-134a or correct as in having the original stripes and labels?

TJ,
By correct I meant that it would have the right steel lines with the the right bends, crimps and having the correct  stripes and labels would be a plus.
Should it be changed to 134 A at this time?
Thanks,
Lou
