Title: Trunk detail
Post by: vboomer on April 08, 2017, 10:22:17 PM
Thanks to you members I found and bought the material to re-do the trunk on my 1941 60-SA Cad. What I need now is a picture of what the trunk should look  like, either literature or photos. The weather here in SE Wisconsin is starting to improve so soon I get out and make a pattern for the trunk floor and whatever else gets covered. Can you help? Thanking you in advance,

Ron Vandenboom

Ron,
My 41 60S has a completely original trunk.

I started the car over the weekend, after its winter hibernation, and I'll take some pictures later today and post them here.

Here are some pics.  My trunk actually looks better than the pics because of the light.  But these should tell you what you need to know.

Fantastic, Dennis! This is better than I expected. The photos are great and tell the story. One more question, is the tire well bare, or covered also. Thank you very much, well done.

Ron,
I missed this question.

The spare tire well is lined with a medium brown leatherette material.

Good luck with your restoration.
