As much as I like '41s, Tim put my all-time favorite Cadillac on the cover this month. If I had a gazillion dollars, that is the car I'd want. I think the last time I saw it, it was bright red at Black Hawk and Yann Sanders and I took a break from "looking" and sat on the border blocks while admiring it. You'd think the metal would be getting thin from being sanded down for so many paint jobs. What color did it start out with anyway?
I'm not sure what color it started life as but definitely one to "lust" over.

Barry, I asked the owner and he said the build sheet states (all) black. He also said (and I quote) "It was restored in 1980 but still is a head turner. It has won the most prestigious award of all just last summer. The US Library Of Congress in Washington has recognized historic ships, planes & buildings but not vehicles till recently. Recently Hagerty has sponsored the historic vehicle ads "this car matters" award. Only 21 cars have been recognized so far. This cad matters! "

Here's the link to the list of vehicles on the National Historic Vehicles Register. There are just 21 and two of those are Cadillacs including the 21st (not yet listed) being the 1934 Cadillac V-16 Style 5885 Convertible Coupe.
