Let’s meet Friday a 8 pm in the bar at the hotel. Who’s in?
I remember that being arranged last years and everyone arrived at different bars ;D ;D ;D
Ok can someone on site pick a bar. I hope this hotel has only 1 bar. The hotel casino in Vegas has multiple.
I think it was different bars in different hotels. Let them know exactly where you will be.
I'm pretty sure there is only one bar in the host hotel (Embassy Suites), the one I see is just behind the lobby on the first floor. You see it when you walk in to the hotel.
There are always a lot of people milling around it, how shall we identify ourselves as the forum group?
I'll look around to see if I can ID a specific area to meet.

FYI
There is a backup hotel as well listed for this GN, Courtyard by Marriott in San Marcos so there could be some folks booked at this one. ???

I haven't been to a GN in 30 years, but I kinda assumed all participants would be expected to sign in and and would receive a name tag. This would serve as identification.

Yes, we've signed in and have name tags, but not all Cadillac aficionados peruse and contribute to the forum. We (I assume) wanted to get all the forum users together for a tasty beverage and healthy Cadillac related discussion. Much like the '63 & '64 split off and get together. I'll call it a sub-group of the GN.

At the Embassy Suites, they have happy hour (free drinks) from 5:30 to 7:30. I suggest to start at 7 or 7:30 to let the house buy the first round.
There is a rather large green sculpture (aged copper) in the bar area, there is a stand up area around that, with the actual bar very close by. Suggest we mill around there until most show up. There are tall tables (a few) we can use to sit at...

OK- Friday evening, 7-7:30, Embassy Suites bar, near green sculpture. I'm scheduled to attend the judge's meeting from 3-6:00, but will be at the bar after I get dinner.

A number of years ago when the Cadillac Mailing List was active we made up stickers to put on our badges to identify ourselves to each other. Kind of late for that in this case, but something to keep in mind for next year.

I have judges meeting & also tix to the BBQ & band party that night. How many others are going there? If enough, we could try to grab a couple tables together.

I will be there tomorrow (Friday) but only until about noon. Just going walk through and take some pictures.
Registration closes at 5pm CT so any late arrival like me have to wait until tomorrow. :(
Directions to the Embassy Suites bar is as you enter the front of the hotel, go slightly left about sixty feet (the hotel registration desk will be on your right) As you come into the hotel the elevators will be on the right of the bar. The hotel's manager's special for hotel guests (free drinks) is from 5:30 to 7:30 in the open dining area behind the bar. I will attend if I have no other commitments.

Good conversation, nice beverages and great to hear where we came from and where we're going. So much easier to actually converse rather than type and await a reply! And no worries about having a conversation deleted, as talk did deviate from Cadillac from time to time. Topics included cats, cruising, kids, cars, Cadillacs and life.

When you talk about cats, I would look the other way as far as deletion is concerned. Our two certainly missed their mistress while she was in the hospital. (And she missed them.) If I'd been there, I certainly would have liked to have been with you and am glad you had a great time. We will try to make Louisville a great meet for you. (We hope Hoosier Hospitality) will waft across the Ohio a little.) BW
