Does anyone remember the picture of a small (pretty exact) copy of a wealthy South American boy sitting in his 1947 Cadillac convertible "just like his dad's." I think it appeared in Mechanic's Illustrated as that is what my Dad subscribed to at the time.
I thought at the time that first, the kid was very, very lucky. And also that the father must have been extremely wealthy to have had such a detailed pedal car made for his son.
This would have been sometime in the late 40s. I do remember that it was on the upper RH side page and both cars were black or dark blue. As I recall, the proportions were off slightly. The small car was squooshed together from side to side, probably to give clearance for the boy to sit in it comfortably.
Nope :D
