Title: Changing lid on a Stewart vacuum fuel pump
Post by: yachtflame on November 14, 2019, 07:11:03 AM
I have a crack in the fitting on my Stewart vacuum fuel pump. I bought a new lid at Hershey but when trying to swap the gutts,  I’m having trouble removing the needle for the vent (the outer most needle). It moves up and down and spins freely but won’t come out of its housing.
Has any one successfully done this? Can you shed some light on how this reluctant piece comes out? It’s conspiring to annoy me!

Two people who might help you with this issue. They both rebuild pumps as a business but might be willing to answer your questions. Feltz Terrill, Terrill Machine Shop in De Leon , TX, 254 893 2610 and David Stewart, Longview, TX 903 234 8086. They are Packard lovers. Good Luck! Hugh Dean
