Hello: I have recently become the next caretaker of a 1939 Model 7559. The previous owner of the car was Gerald Capek of Vero Beach. I believe that he had owned the car for a least the past 20 years, maybe longer. The car was originally sold at the Cadillac Dealer in Boston on Commonwealth Ave.
If anyone happens to know any history regarding this vehicle, it would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Tim Kazmier
Mr. Capak had some custom rubber extrusions made for the running board mats. He was selling sets for a while to offset the cost. I bought a set from him.
Thank you very much Tom, I see that he used to do that.
Sincerely Tim
That's a handsome car. Harry
Thank you for your kind words. I see you have a 37 - 75 series. I had restored a 37-7533 36 years ago and had to let it go shortly after it was finished. You could say I have been looking to replace it ever since, and now I have been able to do so.
As much as there were 53 of the 7559 built in 1939, I have only been able to find evidence of three others as I troll around the internet. I am sure there are more, but nothing I can find. I am hopeful I can find out some history on mine.
Sincerely Tim
Did one of the previous owners get the factory invoice for the car? If not, you to get one.
Bob
Hello Bob: I do have the Sales order for the car. Am trying to piece together events between 1939 and approximately 2000.
Sincerely Tim
