Post by: Eric # 21241 on April 05, 2006, 11:02:08 PM
Greetings all,
I would like to find out what the body tag numbers on my 1937 Cadillac mean. Anyone who can help I would greatly appreciate.
the tag reads:
CADILLAC MOTOR CAR CO.
DETROIT, MICH.
STYLE No 37-6067
BODY No 132
TRIM No 47
PAINT No 52
BODY BY FISHER

Eric, The paint trim #52 is listed as Richelieu Maroon. Oblviously the 6067 is the body style, convertible coupe. I cant locate the number of units made or the interior code translation.

Eric,  Body number 132 means that your car is the 132st.car of the STYLE 6067 to be built. Now,  If someone will come forward with the trim-code data I think you will have all of the numbers decoded.
HTH
Good Luck, Jim
P.S.
6067 Means that you have a 60 series Cadillac ( as opposed to a 60 SPECIAL ) and 67 means that it is a convertiable. ( If it were a 60 SPECIAL, the number would read; 60S19. AS the only 60SPECIALS BUILT WERE FOUR-DOOR (4) Sedans.
