1956 Cadillac Fuel Filter Assembly - Cross Reference #'s

In persuit of getting the exact part for my 1956 Cadillac I need some help.  I need a fuel filter assembly for the vehicle and have a P/N of 854464.  None of the ones I see on Ebay mention this number but some look exactly like what I need.  Can anyone provide me with cross reference #'s or any kind of info that would be helpful in getting the correct part for my Cad?

I have never been able to find a part number on the filter assemlby.  So just using the number out of the master parts book would have gotten the correct one from a dealer, but I know of no way to confirm it on the part.

The one I have has A/C molded into the casting and "cover no 854392", so I'm thinking it is correct.  My master parts book (1963) has all the detail parts but the cover, so this must be the correct one.  How many could there be?  Since that P/N was used for such a long time, those castings might have evolved over the years and have a slightly different look from start to finish.  Just an idea without any proof.
