I'm trying to pep up an 86 rear drive fleetwood,I'm thinking 80-82 v6 rear 3.23:1 OR 3.42:1 82-85 4100 rear.Any thoughts or has anyone done this and is it worth the effort.
the car now has 2.73:1

You can do this, watch out for speedo corrections, you might consider a looser convertor instead. Either way these cars wre way down on power as you know.
