2/25/1905:   "The Tiger of the Andes," Cadillac driven by Jose M. Piquero, is the first car to cross the Andes.

I dont know the Andes that well but I would think this time of year that would not have been a fun trip especially in one of dem dang blasted horseless carriages.

Wait one, this time of the year would be summer down there, wouldn't it?

Ya I just had to get me a quick refresher lesson,  they appear to be on the western coast of South America running from the central to the northern part.  Not sure where I thought they were.  Even today with custom made equipment off road or on roads with modern cars that cant be an easy trip.
