Tonight I was installing the newly rebuilt transmission and when I went to grease the U joints the front one was great, but the rear one looked like it had not seen grease since the factory. It is in pretty rough shape.
Are U joints for the 39's available from auto parts stores or do I have to find one elsewhere.
Any leads would be welcomed.
Thanks,

You should be able to take it to your local NAPA store and match it up.  http://www.coopersvintage.com/pdf/1939.htm also has them for $54 ea.

Thanks Gene,
Went to Napa, they looked it up and found one somewhere in Illinois at $83 and change.
So I called Cooper's and talked to Bob the owner, nice guy.
He is shipping two on monday ($54).
Thanks Again,
Lou
