Hello,
I have a 41 6227 d coupe.  Trying to get it ready for nationals.  Can anyone tell me if the trunk latch is supposed to be body color, black, or silver?  I figure these were shelf items painted the same color and put on at the time of assembly, but they may have been sprayed with the body color.  The authenticity manual doesn't cover this.
Thanks,

I have a very nice original Ken, left over from restoring my 41 years ago and its in a sort of satin black but then, it could have come from a black car so doesn't prove much.

Right.  Mine was black as well, but so was the car originally.  I'm going to go ahead and assume it's body color which is now gunmetal and berkely gray.
Thanks,
Ken
