41 60 special line from carburator

does anyone know          wherethe metal line from passenger side neat top of carburator goes ? it heads down crosses the transmission housin heads down , nothing is attached to mine thanks john

Nothing should be attached to it John, its the float chamber overflow and it discharges down by the bell housing should the carb flood.

As the line goes over the  left part of the bell housing there is a line clip that fits over that overflow line and is attached under the head of one of the housing bolts.   Bill
