Hi. I'm wondering if the top boot for '58 is always the same color as the top itself? I have a black series 62 convertible with trim code 20. This is black and white leather with a white top. The top of the seat backs are white for those that are unfamiliar with the pattern. When I purchased my car it had a black boot with the white top. It was obvisously non-original since the whole interior had been redone at some point. In the trunk was an original looking (based on the buffalo grain pattern) white boot. Just wanting to clarify so I don't make a mistake. Also are the buttons exposed? They are exposed on the one in the trunk (black looking finish but may just be discolored). Should they be black or standard metal color?

Thanks for the input
