Can't seem to find a decent grille anywhere for my 1941.  Looks like I'll need to repair the cracks in the current grille.  Anyone know of a welder in the Los Angeles area that welds and polishes pot metal/cast iron grilles?

Thanks, Fritz

There should be quite a few grilles that an be re-plated without welding them. They are a great big die casting, and often are found with cracks, but there should be some in sme members' parts stashes that can be re=plated. It won't be cheap, but at least, you won't need to do weld repair.

Do a search on a product called Muggy Weld.  I have used this to repair several pot metal cracks with good success.  Otherwise, I will have a spare 41 grille, getting ready to choose which core I am going to replate, then the other will be available.  PM me if you don't work something out with
Doug.
