As you can tel from the subject header I am trying to get some info on the oil pan bolts for the 390/429 motors. Do they use the same size as the 472's? 472 uses 20 how many do the 390/429's use? Heck i guess I am wondering about the valve cover bolts as well. If anyone has a set of originals I would like to purchase. Thanks

Jeff at Willington CAD, USA Parts, Cadillac Tim, and others may be able to sell you a set of oil pan and valve cover bolts for a 429 engine.  It may be easiest to buy a set of bolts at HD or Lowes (Fastenal on-line is really great) as they are likely 5/16" x 1" or so course threads.  The valve cover and oil pan bolts are likely different.

Good luck,
