Anyone have a reccomendation regarding modern day gear oil for the transmission and differential for a 1936 Cadillac?  Thanks!

The type mentioned in the literature from that period is SAE 90.

The modern equivalent would be SAE 80W-90 which should work well for you in
both applications.
