Steering wheel identification

The steering wheel shown was sold with a number of Cadillac LaSalle parts and supposedly from a 1937 Cadillac or LaSalle.  Can anyone confirm its identity?

Bill, It is a Standard wheel not from 1937 due to column shift. Maybe a '38.    Harry

That looks a lot like the wheel that was on my 38 when I got it. I originally thought it was off something else but now I suspect it is original due to the size of the hub designed to mate up correctly with the housing for the shift lever.

Hello, Yes it is a standard wheel. My 1940 Lasalle has one. If there is no place on the left side of the column for a turn signal then it can only be a '38 or '39. 1940 was the first year for turn signals. That style of steering wheel could have been used other years also. That is one to look up in the parts book.
