According to my 1935-55 Master Parts List, the correct fog lamp bulb for a '41 is number 1323 S with 32 CP.  It is Cadillac part no. 453 079.  It has a single contact and a "painted end".

In 1942 and 46 a similar single contact, 32 CP fog lamp bulb, number 1007 was used.  The parts list does not say it has a "painted end", so I'm assuming that is the only difference and that it could be used, too.  However, you had better check with a '41 guy, which I'm not.
