I have a '67 Eldorado and was wondering if the 429 in the Eldorado was different than the 429 on all other models.  Can anyone elaborate on any differences if there are any?

Thanks,
Joe

I believe the differences were all bolt on items so if the question is can you put the motor out of a 67 Eldo into your 67 C car with a bad motor or the other way around I think the answer is yes you just need to swap over things like the oil pan and transmission adapter.

As stated above, the bolt on items that are Eldorado specific, oil pan, pick up, starter, exhaust manifolds and motor mounts are all transferable between FWD and RWD 67's.

Greg - would you be able to clarify for me: is the list of items in your reply the different bolt-ons from the RWD 429 or are you saying this list are all common between the engines?

Thanks,
Joe

Joe,
The items I mentioned are the ones that are different between RWD and FWD.  They are bolt ones that will fit on either engine but are specific to the vehicle.
