Can anybody tell me what the paint color should be on this caddy?

The SO means special order...I would peel back weatherstripping, or check under the carpet to find the actual color on the car...to give you at least a head start. I have a Dupont master formula book that covers that year but no #s are like that for anything.

Although this wont help you in your current quest, here is another useful source about 1961 colors. This is the Ditzler color chip for 1961:

Neither the Ditzler or the factory numbers match whats on your body plate..

Since your PAINT Code: SO 11251  matches your body number , I doubt anyone would know the color based on that number. Your TOP 2 code , would be Black.

Hey everyone thanks for the information.  It appears that the current paint is the original paint which was Mountain Laurel Pink special ordered--the same they put on the 56-57 Cadillacs.
