 I bought this on the assumption it was for a 1949 Cadillac
but the solenoid and wiring is different. WHAT year is ths for?

My book list your starter as 1950 thru 1952, 6 volt. Group 7.2050. Steve

Michael I just bought one on E-Bay for my 1951 Sedan
with that number on it.
The seller had it listed as 49-52 but it sounds like
it wont fit a 49.

Yes, according to the Master Parts Book, the 49 starter is unique. Its part # 110 7945. As you have been told, the starter you have is for the 50-52 Models (last of the 6 Volt). Im really suprised at the price though, $65.00! This is in 1959 Dollars. That wasnt cheap back then.
