Napa list 1950 series62 brake shoes, part number ts160 measuring 11x2 1/2. does anyone know if these would fit 1949 series62. book list front and back as same size. Anyone know if this is so. Thanks

Looks like its no. The 49 brakes are 12 inch, and the 50-51 are 11 inch. I was surprised that the brake size went down in 50, but it did!

Morning Art. I brought my oem shoes into the auto parts store and they matched them to a mid 50s chevy as I recall. I can get the #s off the side of the linings to guide the parts house. Mine are 2 1/4 wide.

Doug is correct, in that the 50 drums were reduced (least the fronts were) for some strange reason, having just looked at my 50 61s sedan front drums.
